Selection
What?
The Timothy Track has been developed to serve those who can no longer in good conscience pursue existing national processes under the oversight of the House of Bishops.
It seeks to identify and encourage men called to ordained Anglican ministry who are marked by godly character, theological conviction and servant-hearted leadership.
Our aim is to recognise faithful gospel ministers who will serve Christ’s church with conviction, courage and humility for decades to come.
We believe future ministers are best recognised within the local church where their lives, doctrine and ministry can be seen clearly over time.
Who?
The Timothy Track provides a pathway into set apart gospel ministry for men who:
are Anglican in the tradition of the 39 Articles, the BCP, and the Ordinal
are in Broken Fellowship with the House of Bishops of the Church of England
are seeking to Change the Church, not leave or accept current structures
have the Evangelical convictions for which the Reformers fought and died
have undertaken seminary level Theological Training
have demonstrated the Godliness required of a Christian leader alongside an ability to Teach and Pastor those in the church
How?
The Alternative Selection Pathway, facilitated by ReNew, uses the same framework as the existing national selection process.
Application
An in depth application form completed by the candidate
A detailed report written by the senior minister and wardens of the candidate’s church
Two other references from senior members of the candidate’s church
Panel
Panels are chaired by retired bishop Rod Thomas and include clergy, women in ministry and other lay leaders
The panel consists of a day of theological, pastoral and personal interviews
The panel then decide an outcome of either ‘recommended’ or ‘not currently recommended’ as suitable for ordained Anglican ministry and suggest any further training needs
